Are you a senior cyber security leader ready to take global ownership of cyber security in an industrial company where security is a strategic business capability? Join us as our new CISO!
Cyber security at Westermo is not an isolated IT function — it is a core part of how we design products, operate manufacturing, and build trust with customers worldwide. It is fundamental to trusted products, resilient operations, and long‑term customer confidence. We are now looking for a Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to define, lead, and govern our global cyber security agenda across the entire organisation. This is a strategically critical leadership role with global impact, where governance, risk management, and operational resilience are key focus areas.
The role operates at group level and works closely with executive management, senior leaders, and key functions across Westermo’s global operations. You will collaborate with IT, R&D, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and Legal to ensure cyber security is embedded into decision‑making, processes, and culture across the company. Cyber security at Westermo is a business enabler — supporting safe industrial operations, secure products, and long‑term customer trust.
Are you our next Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)?
As Global CISO, you provide strategic direction and expert advisory leadership on cyber security across people, technology, intellectual property, and mission‑critical business processes in a multinational industrial environment.
You advise executive management on cyber risks, priorities, and trade‑offs, enabling informed decisions aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and Westermo’s risk appetite.
The role covers enterprise IT, industrial/OT environments, manufacturing, and R&D, with a strong focus on governance, resilience, and risk transparency rather than day‑to‑day operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic guidance on Westermo’s global cyber security strategy, aligned with business objectives, operational safety, and industrial environments
Establish and evolve cyber security governance structures, policies, standards, and risk management frameworks
Enable consistent decision‑making, accountability, and risk transparency across the organisation
Advise manufacturing and operational leadership on cyber risks affecting industrial and OT environments
Support cyber‑resilience and business continuity planning to reduce downtime, safety risks, and production disruptions
Ensure alignment between operational cyber resilience, enterprise risk management, and regulatory expectations
Define and govern global principles for cyber incident response and crisis management
Provide expert advisory support during major cyber incidents, such as ransomware or OT disruptions
Offer oversight and guidance on monitoring, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management capabilities
Advise on identification, assessment, and prioritization of cyber risks across Westermo
Provide direction and governance for the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001, including audits and scope expansion across Westermo companies
Support compliance with applicable cyber security regulations and standards (e.g. ISO 27001, IEC 62443, NIS2, customer security requirements)
Provide oversight and advisory input on third‑party and supply‑chain cyber security risks
Report regularly to executive management on cyber security posture, risks, incidents, and initiatives
Drive a strong cyber security culture through awareness, training, and capability development, with emphasis on industrial and OT environments
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a senior leader who combines deep cyber security expertise with strong business, governance, and operational understanding.
You are confident advising executive management, able to translate cyber risk into business impact, and comfortable operating in complex industrial environments.
Requirements
Senior leadership experience within cybersecurity in complex, preferably multinational organisations
Strong knowledge of both IT security and OT/ICS security in industrial environments
Proven ability to translate cyber risk into operational and business consequences
Experience with cybersecurity governance, risk management, and incident response
Ability to engage credibly with executive management and senior stakeholders
Meritorious
Background from industrial, manufacturing, R&D, or mission‑critical system environments
Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, or equivalent)
Interest or experience in digital transformation and data governance
In Return, We Offer
A senior leadership role with global impact in a growing international company
The opportunity to shape cybersecurity where it truly matters — in mission‑critical industrial environments
A collaborative, open, and knowledge‑sharing culture
Long‑term career development in a company that values trust, innovation, and responsibility
