The Smart Field is strategically important to our General Industry division as we expand beyond the smart factory, driving transformation into fast-growing sectors like Renewable Energy, Mining, Power Generation and Processing plants. With the acceleration of Energy Transition, we have a significant opportunity to shape the future of bolting by introducing our innovative smart solutions to the market.

We are innovating across all product groups, including hydraulic torque, bolt tensioning, and continuous rotation tools, complemented by software solutions as we develop our Bolting Ecosystem. This will enable us to make our customers' processes quicker, safer, and smarter.

We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven professional with experience in a value-based sales approach and the ability to motivate and influence others within complex organizations. A solid technical background is essential, as you will be responsible for driving the implementation of Smart Bolting technology into the power generation and processing plants market.

Job Description and Mission

As the Global Business Development Manager for Power Generation and Processing Plants, you will initiate, develop, and drive activities to strategically position us as the market leader.

Smart Field is where we will compete in the market, and Smart Bolting is how we will win. Working closely with the Global Marketing team for Smart Bolting, you will develop and execute our go-to-market strategies in target industries and accounts. This role requires a hands-on approach, with significant time spent traveling and engaging with customers.

Mission Objectives:

Increase sales volume by expanding market share and introducing smart bolting products. Build a strong brand presence aligned with our vision to become and remain the world leader in smart bolting for Power Generation and Processing Plants sub-segments.

Key Activities:

  • Drive key market activities to increase sales, pipeline, market share, and profitability.
  • Conduct market mapping and analysis to identify and focus on the best opportunities for success.
  • Ensure a clear value proposition for our target industries and accounts.
  • Coach, guide, and lead the local sales and marketing teams worldwide, leveraging practical experience and providing hands-on support in the field.
  • Support local CCs' sales management and teams in their Smart Field activities.
  • Identify and collaborate with channel partners, and work with CCs to implement a successful channel strategy.
  • Identify and develop business cases for new business development opportunities.
  • Ensure local CC sales and marketing resources, as well as local partners, have the competencies necessary to execute the planned strategy.

What We Expect from You:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales or business development of technical products or solutions.
  • Experience working with or managing international key accounts.
  • Technical academic degree in engineering or relevant experience.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to lead, build strong networks, and communicate effectively across all levels within multicultural and global teams while consistently driving initiatives forward and turning ideas into action.
  • Ability to take responsibility, manage workload, and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and at least one other major language.
  • Self-driven, proactive, accountable, and results oriented.

Location: The role can be based in any location that enables active fieldwork and maximizes customer-facing time, with a strong focus on key markets such as Asia and the Middle East, where proximity to our customer base and our customer centers is essential.

Reporting Line: This role reports directly to the Global Business Development Manager for Smart Field and is part of the Global Marketing team for the General Industry Division.
