Role Summary

This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden

The Electrification Battery Test Team is seeking talented engineers eager to embrace new challenges.

With demand for innovative and environmentally responsible transport options increasing rapidly, Scania has made significant investments in battery testing infrastructure, emphasizing both performance and lifespan evaluation. This commitment positions us to address the evolving needs of our customers and society at large. We are currently recruiting a proactive, analytical engineer to support data analytics related to test outcomes.

 

Job Responsibilites

This role will further strengthen our expertise in safety and abuse testing, focusing on understanding battery behavior under adverse conditions and validating the effectiveness of implemented safety features. Assignments will be tailored based on your experience, skill set, and aspirations. Effective communication with test stakeholders is essential for successful testing processes. We continuously enhance our methodologies and actively encourage innovative ideas and new approaches within our culture.

Who You Are

You may have a background in chemistry with a master’s degree in electrochemistry and hands-on laboratory experience, or you might be an engineer specializing in mechatronics with programming proficiency and a passion for practical problem-solving. Regardless of your specific strengths, you excel at interpreting data, presenting results in clear, concise graphs, and engaging in collaborative discussions with team members.

Preferred qualifications include:

· Experience with rig automation systems such as LabView Puma or similar platforms

· Familiarity with metrology (“the science of measurement”)

· Proficiency in Swedish or German
